Passport Application Tracking

Applies to applications lodged in Ireland only.

All non emergency applications submitted at the public counters in Dublin or Cork will have a standard 15 working day turnaround. The quickest a passport can be produced is 3 working days other than where travel is necessitated by the death or illness of a family member. An additional fee will apply.
 
Requests for information in respect of the turnaround time for applications submitted through Irish Embassies abroad should in the 1st instance be checked on the relevant Embassy website.
To track your individual passport application, enter your application number in the box below.
 
You will find your application number on the top left hand corner of the passport application form, directly below the barcode. If you received a receipt from An Post or from the Passport Office counter, you will find your application number under Application Barcodes on that receipt.
