Making sure that Irish businesses and individuals are preparing for the consequences of Brexit is an important Government priority. The framework for the future EU-UK relationship will be under discussion in phase two of the negotiations. This is hugely significant for Ireland given the unique circumstances on the island of Ireland and the importance of our economic relationship with the UK.
The Government is working hard to get Ireland Brexit ready.
The Government also continues to undertake a programme of extensive engagement, both with our EU partners, the EU institutions, and further afield.
Brexit, and the Future of Europe are at the top of the agenda for all of these meetings as we prepare for the potential consequences of Brexit.
