Global Irish Civic Forum
The Second Global Irish Civic Forum will take place in Dublin Castle on 4-5 May 2017
This will be an opportunity for those supporting the Irish diaspora abroad to come to Dublin to discuss their work with these communities. The Forum will be a mixture of plenary discussions and workshops for Irish community organisations.
Attendance at the Civic Forum is open to all organisations working with Irish communities abroad. In many cases these organisations are also receiving funding under the Irish Government’s Emigrant support Programme.
We are happy to announce that this second Civic Forum has attracted significant attention and some 220 individuals, representing over 150 organisations, will be attending over the two days.
With the exception of small number of panellists, it will not be possible to provide any assistance to travel costs for organisations coming to the Civic Forum and it should be noted that Emigrant Support Programme funding also cannot be utilised for this purpose.
