On 13 January 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Simon Coveney T.D. requested that the Secretary General of the Department commence a review of adherence to the public health advice, relevant workplace protocols and arrangements in place in Iveagh House on 17 June 2020 for the vote on Ireland’s candidature for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council.
