How to Apply
You need to
1: Complete the online application form
2: Gather your documentation (check the menu option on the left side of this page on "Type of Visa and Supporting Documentation")
3: Check the "Fees" information on this page and pay the appropriate fee to the Embassy or Honorary Consulate
4: Complete your application, which must include:
- The online summary sheet signed by you, with photo affixed to the top-left corner
- Current passport and any previous passports (or copies of previous passports if originals unavailable
- All required supporting documents
5: the online application system will automatically request you to submit your documentation to the appropriate application centre:
Visa Office
- Applications by persons resident in Ecuador should be made to the Irish Honorary Consulate in Quito.
- Applications by persons resident in Chile should be made to the Irish Honorary Consulate in Santiago.
- Applications by persons resident in Bolivia should be made to the Irish Honorary Consulate in La Paz.
- Applications by persons resident in Argentina, Uruguay or Paraguay should be made to the Irish Embassy in Buenos Aires.
Applications to the Irish Embassy in Buenos Aires can be sent by post (registered) or by courier. Alternatively, you, or someone representing you, can come in person to the Embassy with the documents. Embassy Opening Hours.

The onus is on you, the applicant, to ensure that your application is fully complete before submitting it for consideration. You should note that if you submit incomplete application, it may result in your application being refused.
