Ambassador Nicholas Twist

Message from the Ambassador:

It is a pleasure, and an honour, for me to represent Ireland in the Republic of Cyprus, two islands at opposite ends of the European Union, but with many features and historical contexts in common. More recently, we have both experienced difficulties but are making steady progress towards a new economic prosperity which benefits our citizens. The Embassy is keen to promote relations between our two countries and individual citizens, whether political or commercial, cultural or personal.

About the Ambassador

Ambassador Twist joined the Department of Foreign Affairs in 1979 and has served in Headquarters, Rome, the Hague, Vienna and Copenhagen, as well as in the Permanent Representations of Ireland to the EU in Brussels and the OSCE in Vienna.
