Vacancy Notice- Housekeeper - Ambassador's Residence

Applications are invited for the post of Housekeeper at the home of the Irish Ambassador to the State of Israel, in Herzliya Pituach, Israel.

The residence is used for official hospitality, for promotional events as well as a residence for the ambassador and family.
 
Role
Cleaning and housekeeping duties for the house.
Arranging for maintenance services, caterings services and external contractors.
Assisting at official events taking place within the residence outside of normal hours
Other duties as may be required.
 
Essential requirements
Experience of housekeeping in a large and busy establishment
English language
Legal right to work in Israel for at least three years after appointment.
Capacity to work independently.
Honesty and reliability.
 
Desirable Skills
Food preparation and food service.
Knowledge of first aid.
As the post involves work within a domestic residence, previous experience of working in a family home will be given a high priority.
 
Terms and Conditions
The successful candidate will be hired as a personal employee of Mr. Kyle O’Sullivan, Irish ambassador.  The employment contract will commence on or around 23 February 2020, and end in accordance with the contract provisions and in any case on Mr. O’Sullivan’s departure from Israel.
The salary is NIS 105,977 annually.
A five-day working week applies, and with 20 days’ leave per year, in addition to public holidays.
The provisions of Israeli labour law will apply. 
Accommodation is available at the residence for the housekeeper but there is no obligation to live in.

Short-listed candidates will be invited to interview by video conference.
