Thanks for taking the time to register your details with the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade. Having your contacts is really useful to Team Ireland in New Zealand so we can get in touch and update you on issues travel-related.

I know many of you have been in contact with the Embassy or the Honorary Consulate in recent days. Thanks for your patience and for your understanding as Team Ireland works to respond to everyone who has reached out to us.

It has been a tough and unexpected few days for our community, especially those of you who have endured cancelled flights and separation from loved ones at this difficult time.

Let me assure you that we are working on a number of solutions to help get you home. To do so, we need space and time so we are very thankful to you for not contacting us on an ongoing basis. We will be in contact with you as we make progress. Of course, if it’s an urgent matter, feel free to contact us directly.

In the meantime, we need you all to take good care of yourself, keep in touch with friends and family as well as keeping up to date with the NZ Government’s COVID19 Website and in particular the section for international travellers: https://covid19.govt.nz/help-and-advice/for-travellers/international-travel/

It is really important to us now that anyone who is no longer based in New Zealand updates their record on this register. For those who are still in New Zealand, please take a minute to update your details if they have changed.
