The Embassy is supporting this event which will be hosted by Knjižnica Otona Župančiča in Ljubljana on Monday, 23 April (World Book Day) at 20:00.
The event will showcase two Dublin Literary Award nominees from Slovenia, Mr Dušan Šarotar and Ms Jela Krečič and will also feature Irish music by Anej Ivanuša (tin whistle, flute) and Gašper Šinkovec (guitar, accordion). Compering the event will be Carmen L. Oven. The International Dublin Literary Award, sponsored by Dublin City Council and managed by Dublin City Libraries, sees authors and their books nominated for the Award by invited public libraries in cities throughout the world, making the Award unique in its coverage of international fiction. Titles are nominated on the basis of 'high literary merit' as determined by the nominating library.
