Ireland in Seychelles

Accreditation for the Seychelles has recently moved from the Permanent Mission of Ireland to the UN in New York to the Embassy of Ireland in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.

Ambassador Paul Sherlock presented credentials to President Daniel Faure on 7th November 2017 in Victoria, Mahe, Seychelles.

  • In 2016, Ireland's merchandise trade with the Seychelles was valued at €2,069,000. Exports were €1,857,000 and imports were €212,000. Dairy products constitute the majority of Irish exports to the Seychelles.
  • Seychelles is a holiday destination for many Irish tourists, particularly the wedding and honeymoon market. The Seychelles Tourism Board (based in the UK) participated in the Holiday Show and the Honeymoon and Wedding Show in the RDS in Dublin in 2015.
