Embassy delighted to welcome internationally renowned Irish musician Moya Brennan to St. Patrick's Day celebrations

The Embassy of Ireland is delighted to announce that internationally renowned Irish musician, and "First Lady of Celtic Music", Moya Brennan will be joining the St. Patrick's Day celebrations in Dar es Salaam this year.

St Patrick's Day - Ireland's national day - falls on the 17th March and is celebrated annually across the globe. Moya will be performing at the Ambassador's St Patrick's Day reception and at the Irish Society Ball, which takes place on the 18th March.

Moya Brennan is an Irish folk singer, songwriter, harpist, and philanthropist. She has pursued a long and successful career as both a solo artist and with her band Clannard, winning Grammy, Ivor Novello and BAFTA awards for her music.

Moya Brennan's attendance at the St Patrick's Day events is part of a wider visit to Tanzania in support of Irish Aid partner, Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT) which Moya has had a longstanding affiliation with. Irish Aid continues to support the work of CCBRT and we are delighted that Moya's visit will help highlight the important work that CCBRT is undertaking to enable people in Tanzania have access to quality disability services as well as safe maternal and newborn healthcare.
