Northern Ireland Peace Process, Press Releases, Northern Ireland, 2011

Statement by the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade:

“I unreservedly condemn the actions of those responsible for the murderous attack in Omagh this afternoon in which a young P.S.N.I. Officer has been killed.   I extend my deepest condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.  Those behind such violence have no mandate and are acting contrary to the democratic will of the people of Ireland, North and South."
