Tánaiste meets Northern Ireland Secretary of State, Theresa Villiers M.P.

The Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, met with the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, Ms Teresa Villiers M.P. at Iveagh House this evening. 

The two discussed the full range of political, economic and security cooperation issues concerning Northern Ireland.   

Following the meeting, the Tánaiste said:

“I met the Secretary of State to discuss and review developments in Northern Ireland, including the brutal murder of David Black.  I used the opportunity to underline our intention to work with the Northern Ireland authorities to bring his killers to justice.  We also reviewed the range of relations between the two Governments on Northern Ireland issues, focussing on economic cooperation and the ongoing work by the two Governments in support of the Northern Ireland Executive.”
