Statement by Minister Flanagan on Northern Ireland Talks

"This week I, along with Minister of State Sherlock, have been involved in intensive negotiations at Stormont. Encouraging progress has been made across a range of issues.  However, agreement remains to be reached on a number of key issues.

"The talks will continue on Monday with a view to a reaching an early agreement.  In the meantime, both governments will remain in touch over the weekend.

"I encourage all the parties to continue their positive engagement.  With collective commitment and leadership on the part of all involved, a positive outcome can be achieved."
