Data Sharing Agreement between the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Health Service Executive

The Department of Foreign Affairs has entered into a Data Sharing Agreement under the Data Sharing and Governance Act 2019 with the Health Service Executive for the purpose of providing the signed undertaking, received by the Department of Foreign Affairs in the course of an Emergency Travel Certificate Application, to the Health Service Executive (HSE) where a child has been born overseas via international surrogacy.

This Data Sharing Agreement covers sharing of Personal Data in the form of providing the signed undertaking to the HSE to assist it, in providing healthcare services that may be required by children born through international surrogacy once they arrive in Ireland.
