Today will mark two years since Irish citizen Ibrahim Halawa was arrested at a protest in Cairo. Ibrahim has been detained in various prisons since, and is now being sent to mass trial with 493 others. Three of his sisters, Omaima, Fatima, and Somaia, were also detained by the Egyptian authorities but were subsequently released.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, Charlie Flanagan, TD, this morning (Thursday) launched the American Chamber of Commerce Ireland - US Economic Report for 2015 at Amazon's Dublin HQ. The launch, which featured a roundtable discussion with the Minister, was attended by senior management from a number of US firms - including Airbnb, Google, Horizon Pharma, and Intel.
