Now Open - Call for applications for Emigrant Support Programme, 2022/23

The Emigrant Support Programme (ESP) is an expression of the Irish Government’s support, commitment and interest in Irish communities around the globe. Through the ESP, the Irish Government provides financial support to organisations engaged in the delivery of front line advisory services and community care to Irish emigrants, particularly to the more vulnerable and marginalised members of our community abroad. The ESP also facilitates Irish Government investment in a range of cultural, community and heritage projects, which foster a vibrant sense of Irish community and identity among Irish emigrants, their descendants, and those who otherwise share a sense of connection with Ireland. Projects fostering business connections between Germany and Ireland, and/or constructing, refurbishing or purchasing capital assets are eligible for funding as well.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Ireland in Germany are now inviting applications from Irish community organisations and cultural societies based in Germany for funding in the 2022/23 period. In this funding round, we are particularly interested in projects promoting gender equality, encouraging women and girls to be leaders of change in their communities and collaborative initiatives among organisations to rebuild in the post-Covid context. There is also a strong interest in reaching out to under-represented and vulnerable groups within the diaspora, new emigrants, and younger members of the diaspora. As always, we also welcome applications focussed on the welfare of the diaspora and building new cultural links between Ireland and Germany.

Applicant organisations should be established as registered charities, charitable bodies or voluntary/not for profit organisations.  The funding year runs from 1st July 2022 until the 30th June 2023.

Ab sofort: Annahme von Bewerbungen für das Förderprogramm für Auswanderer/-innen (ESP), 2022/23

Das Förderprogramm für Auswanderer/-innen -  Emigrant Support Programme (ESP) - ist Ausdruck der Unterstützung, des Engagements und des Interesses der irischen Regierung an der irischen Gemeinschaft weltweit. Im Rahmen des ESP unterstützt die irische Regierung Organisationen finanziell, die irischen Auswanderern/-innen, insbesondere schwächeren und marginalisierten Mitgliedern unserer Gemeinschaft im Ausland, Beratungsdienste an vorderster Front anbieten und die Gemeinschaft unterstützen. Das ESP ermöglicht zudem Investitionen der irischen Regierung in eine Reihe von Projekten in den Bereichen Kultur, Gemeinschaft und kulturelles Erbe, die ein lebendiges Gefühl der irischen Gemeinschaft und Identität unter irischen Auswanderern/-innen, ihren Nachkommen und denjenigen, die sich anderweitig mit Irland verbunden fühlen, fördern. Projekte zur Förderung von Geschäftsbeziehungen zwischen Deutschland und Irland und/oder zum Bau, zur Renovierung oder zum Erwerb von Kapitalanlagen sind ebenfalls förderfähig.

Das irische Außenministerium und die Botschaft von Irland in Deutschland rufen nun irische Gemeinschaftsorganisationen und Kulturvereine mit Sitz in Deutschland auf, sich um eine Förderung im Zeitraum 2022/23 zu bewerben. In dieser Förderrunde sind wir besonders an Projekten interessiert, die die Gleichstellung der Geschlechter fördern, Frauen und Mädchen dazu ermutigen, in ihren Gemeinschaften eine Führungsrolle zu übernehmen, sowie an kooperativen Initiativen von Organisationen zum Wiederaufbau in der Zeit nach Covid-19. Es besteht auch ein großes Interesse daran, unterrepräsentierte und schutzlose Gruppen innerhalb der Diaspora, neue Emigranten/-innen und jüngere Mitglieder der Diaspora zu erreichen. Wie immer begrüßen wir auch Anträge, die sich auf das Wohlergehen der Diaspora und den Aufbau neuer kultureller Beziehungen zwischen Irland und Deutschland konzentrieren.

Die antragstellenden Organisationen sollten als eingetragene Verein, gemeinnützige Einrichtungen oder ehrenamtliche Organisationen registriert sein. Das Förderjahr läuft vom 1. Juli 2022 bis zum 30. Juni 2023.
