Appointments system for Consular, Passport and Visa Services at the Embassy

A new appointments system is in operation at the Embassy for consular, visa and passport services since April 2014.

Appointments are available Mon-Fri 9.30 – 12.30.

To make an appointment please contact us or call +49 (0)30 220720 (please call only between 9:30 and 12.30 in the morning and 2:30 and 4:30 in the afternoon).

All services (Passport applications, Visa applications, Foreign Birth Registration) can be delivered by post without coming to the Embassy. We would encourage you to consult the relevant section of our website regarding the service you require before contacting the Embassy. Passport applications forms can be ordered online. Visa applications are available online only.

The only service which requires a visit to the Embassy is witnessing of documents (marriage forms, and other official documents). You may make an appointment for witnessing of documents at +49 (0)30 220720 or by contacting us. 

In the event of a consular emergency (death, serious illness of an Irish citizen in Germany) please ring the Embassy for assistance. An out-of-hours emergency service is also available. When the Embassy is closed you will be referred to an emergency phone answering service.
