Embassy of Ireland in Pretoria Strategy 2017-2021

On 31 October 2017, Minister Ciaran Cannon launched the Irish Embassy in South Africa's new five year strategy 2017-2021, which aims to foster the broad potential of the relationship between Ireland and South Africa and other countries of accreditation from Pretoria, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Mauritius, Lesotho and the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC).

The strategy presents what the Embassy will be focussed on delivering over the next four years and was formulated after wide consultations within the Department and with the Embassy's external stakeholders. It presents a multidimensional and interlinked approach to our work focussed on the five themes of Irish foreign policy – our people, our values, our prosperity, our place in Europe and our influence.
