The Vice Consul laid a wreath to honour the Irish men and women who have served in UN and multilateral peacekeeping forces

On 23rd October, UN Day 2015, the Vice Consul laid a wreath at the Cenotaph at Martin Place in Sydney to honour the Irish men and women who have served in UN and multilateral peacekeeping forces over the last 68 years.

The ceremony was attended by members of the armed services and police as well as political and community leaders, many representatives of the diplomatic corps and members of the UN family. The United Irish Ex-Services Association of Australia laid wreaths as part of the ceremony.
