Team Ireland in Belgium

The Embassy works to pursue opportunities to enhance the political and economic relationship between Ireland and Belgium that will deliver economic growth and jobs; maintain and enhance links with our Irish diaspora; and promote Ireland and the Irish Arts.

We work closely with our State Agencies in Belgium (Bord Bia, Enterprise IrelandIDA Ireland and Tourism Ireland) to promote trade, tourism and inward investment.

The Embassy and our Honorary Consulates also provide consular assistance to Irish citizens resident in and visiting Belgium.

Working with state agencies in Belgium

The Embassy of Ireland in Belgium works closely with Irish state agencies to promote trade, tourism and inward investment. The Ambassador chairs the local market team which:

  • Supports Irish companies who want to find and access new markets and help with resolving commercial difficulties where possible
  • Provides general advice on doing business locally and, through our network of contacts, pursue export and investment opportunities that will benefit Ireland
  • Works to secure market access for Irish products in key sectors in high-growth and emerging markets

Working with the right expertise in relevant state agencies is part of our successful strategy.
