Irish Stand at the Chinese Seafood Exhibition

Ambassador Kavanagh met with Vice-Minister Qu from the Ministry of Agriculture At the Irish stand at the Chinese Seafood Exhibition in Qingdao on 4 November. One of the Irish companies presenting its produce is selling live crab online. These delicious crabs can be delivered live from the West coast of Ireland to Beijing within 30 hours.

Bord Bia and fourteen Irish seafood companies were in China in early November securing new export opportunities for sustainably produced Irish seafood at Asia's premier seafood event, the China Seafood and Fisheries Expo in Qingdao. Bord Bia's Origin Green pavilion provided the launch pad for the Irish contingent to target buyers at this year’s event which was the largest ever with over 1,300 companies from 45 countries exhibiting, and over 25,000 visitors from almost 100 countries in attendance.
