New Visa Procedure for Mongolian Applicants.

With effect from Wednesday, 20 November 2019 there will be a new visa application procedure for Mongolian applicants.

After submitting your online visa application, you will then be required to log-on to the VFS website and book an appointment to attend the new Mongolian Visa Application Centre (VAC) in person to complete the application process.

Both the visa processing fee and the VFS Global charge must be paid on the day of your appointment at the VAC.

Under this new procedure, and in order to complete the application process, you must complete the following steps:

Step 1

Identify the type of visa you require and prepare the documents you will need in support of your application. Information regarding different types of visas can be found here: http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/Irish%20Visa%20Information

Step 2

Apply online: http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/Apply%20for%20a%20visa

Step 3

Print and sign the summary application sheet.

Step 4

Log on to the VFS website and book an appointment to attend the VAC. www.vfsglobal.com/Ireland/Mongolia

Step 5

Attend your appointment at the VAC.

Please remember to bring your signed summary application sheet AND your documents (see below) with you to your appointment.

Payment must be made on the day of your appointment at the VAC. You will be required to pay a service charge to VFS Global. This fee is in addition to the standard visa-processing fee.

(Please note: You will not be eligible to pay your visa fee online. Any attempt at online payment will not be processed and you will be solely responsible for retrieving any sum paid. Unfortunately, the Visa Office will not be able to assist you in resolving this issue.)

Step 6

Track the progress of your application through the VFS Website.

Decisions in relation to visa applications are posted on the Embassy of Ireland, China website and can be found here: https://www.dfa.ie/irish-embassy/china/visas/visa-decisions/

Documents you must bring with you to the VAC when you attend for your appointment:

  4. Supporting documents for the relevant visa category.
  5. All supporting documentation must be in English or accompanied by a notarised translation.

Please see www.inis.gov.ie "Visas" for further information on the documents which you are required to bring with you to the VAC.

Multiple Journey Visa

The issuance of a multiple journey visa will be at the discretion of the Visa Officer. If you apply for a multiple journey visa but are only granted a single journey, the difference in cost cannot under any circumstances be refunded to you.
