The Embassy’s History

Find out about Ireland and the activities and services of the Embassy of Ireland in Tallinn, Estonia.

The Embassy of Ireland was opened in Tallinn, Estonia in 2001. In 2002 to June 2015, the Embassy Chancery operated from an office in Vene Street in Old Town. In July 2015, the Chancery was moved to the Residence premises located at Rahukohtu 4 in Upper Old Town (Toompea). Please note that some websites details for the Embassy are outdated and incorrect.

Since 2011, the Embassy has been led by one diplomat only – the Ambassador. Together with two local staff members. The Embassy continues to provide assistance in bilateral cooperation, consular and other matters.
