Where can I get an application form?

To obtain an Irish Passport, you must be an Irish citizen. Further information on citizenship.

Irish Citizens in Finland who are over 18 years, and have previously held an Irish Passport can now apply for their Passport Book online at https://www.dfa.ie/passportonline/. In this case, the Embassy has no involvement in the application process and your Passport will be posted directly from Ireland. This option is not available for applicants under 18 or first time adult applicants.

Irish Citizens over 18 years who hold a valid Irish Passport or who are applying for a passport renewal online can apply for a Passport Card online at https://www.dfa.ie/passportonline/. The Passport Card is accepted for travel within the European Union and the European Economic Area** and is valid for up to 5 years. As the application must be made online, the Embassy has no involvement in the application process and your passport card will be posted directly from Ireland.

You can collect a copy of the passport application form (APS2E) from the Embassy. An original paper copy of the application form must be completed. Please note it cannot be filled out online nor can it be scanned.

If you need your passport application form to be posted to you, please contact us.

When you receive your application form, please read the Notes and each section carefully before completing it. Application forms which are not properly completed will not be processed.
