How much does an Irish Passport cost?

Passport Application Fees

The fee depends on the type of passport you apply for:

Standard Passports
Standard 10-year passport €80*
Large 66-page, 10-year passport €110*
Standard 5-year passport for those between 3 and 18 years €26.50*
Standard 3-year passport for those under 3 years €16*
Temporary Passports
Adult: €135*
Under 18s €56.50*
Children Under 3 €41*

Emergency Travel Certificates

€15* Only intended for people who have lost their passport, or have had their passport stolen, and must urgently travel to Ireland.

*All applications made by post are subject to an €8 postage fee.

If you would like us to send your passport by post, please add €8 postage fee. Your passport will be sent by registered post to the postal address that you supplied on your application form. For more than one application at the same time (for example, two passport applications from the same family at the same time), please add 8 Euros for each applicant.

Payment methods

The Embassy only accepts Euro-cheques drawn from a French bank account. If you are applying by post, please pay by cheque made payable to 'Ambassade d'Irlande'. Please ensure that you include the postage fee if applicable.

If you are applying in person at our public office, you may pay by cheque or by cash (exact change please). Please note that credit or debit card payments cannot be accepted by the Embassy in Paris.
