Consular Fees

The following is a list of the most common fees charged for Consular Services carried out by the Embassy of Ireland. For an exhaustive list of fees, please see the full list of current consular fees

For issuing a certificate to an Irish citizen in connection with a marriage abroad 


For issuing a certificate in connection with a marriage abroad submitted to the relevant diplomatic mission or consular office 28 days or less before the date of the intended marriage (additional late fee) 


Consular Assistance


For arranging the repatriation of an Irish citizen


For arranging the collection of funds for an Irish citizen 


Payment methods

All documents to be returned by post are subject to a €5 postage fee.

We do not accept cash, credit or debit cards. The Embassy accepts Postal Orders drawn from Greek Post Office service (ELTA).

Fees can also be paid by bank transfer from a Greek bank account to the following account:

If you choose to pay by bank transfer please include a copy of the bank transfer counterfoil slip with your application.

Cash payments are only accepted if passport applicant applies personally at the Embassy; please do not send cash in postal application.
