How much does an Irish Passport cost?

Details of passport fees if applying in Greece and how to pay.

Fees

The fee depends on the type of passport you apply for:

Standard Passports

Emergency Passports

All applications made by post are subject to a €5 postage fee.

We do not accept cash, credit or debit cards. The Embassy accepts Postal Orders drawn from Greek Post Office service (ELTA).

Fees can also be paid by bank transfer from a Greek bank account to the following account:

If you choose to pay by bank transfer please include a copy of the bank transfer counterfoil slip with your application.

Cash payments are only accepted if passport applicant applies personally at the Embassy; please do not send cash in postal application.

The Passport Section is open to the public from 09.30 am – 1 pm Monday to Friday.

We would encourage you to consult the relevant section of our website regarding the service you require before contacting the Embassy. Passport application forms can be ordered online.

If you choose to post your application, we strongly recommend that you use registered mail or a reputable courier service. The Embassy cannot be held responsible for applications or documents lost in transit.
