Ambassador Pádraig Francis

Welcome Message

Welcome to the website of the Irish Embassy in Jakarta. The Embassy represents Ireland in Indonesia, promotes links between our two countries, and protects Irish interests. We also serve as Ireland's representation to the Association of South East Asia Nations.

Ireland and Indonesia are very different - and very distant - countries but our economies are complementary, and both our citizens and our businesses have much to gain from closer ties. Indonesia's exports to Ireland are growing, as are Ireland's exports to Indonesia. International trade is the mainstay of Ireland's economy, and there is much mutual benefit to be gained from increasing the flows of investment, goods and people between our two countries. The launch of the ASEAN Economic Union, can only enhance the prospects for trade and investment in both directions.

And of course, the global challenges that we all face, including climate change, energy and security, are better faced together. Both Ireland and Indonesia have a long and proud history of working through the United Nations to find peaceful and equitable solutions.

The Embassy is here to assist Indonesians visiting Ireland, whether as visitors, business people or students. We are also here to support Irish citizens visiting, resident, or doing business here in Indonesia. You will find details of our consular services on this website.

Our Embassy is keen to make a real difference. Let us know if we can help, and let us know how we are doing.

Fáilte chuig suíomh gréasáin Ambasáid na hÉireann in Iacárta. Déanann an Ambasáid ionadaíocht ar Éirinn san Indinéis, cothaíonn sí an ceangal idir an dá thír seo againne, agus cosnaíonn sí leasanna na hÉireann. Ina theannta sin, déanaimid ionadaíocht ar Éirinn i gComhlachas Náisiúin Oirdheisceart na hÁise.

Tíortha is ea Éire agus an Indinéis atá an-difriúil óna chéile – agus i bhfad i gcéin óna chéile – ach cuireann ár gcuid geilleagar lena chéile, agus is mór an tairbhe a bhainfidh ár saoránaigh agus ár ngnólachtaí as naisc níos dlúithe a bheith eadrainn. Tá méadú ag teacht ar onnmhairí na hIndinéise go hÉirinn, mar aon le honnmhairí na hÉireann chuig an Indinéis. Tá an trádáil idirnáisiúnta ina príomhghné de gheilleagar na hÉireann, agus tá tairbhe le baint ag an dá thír as cur leis na sreafaí infheistíochta, earraí agus daoine eadrainn. Le seoladh Aontas Eacnamaíoch ASEAN, níl aon bhaol ann ach go gcuirfear leis na hionchais don trádáil agus don infheistíocht eadrainn.

Agus ar ndóigh, maidir leis na dúshláin dhomhanda atá le sárú againn go léir, an t-athrú aeráide agus cúrsaí fuinnimh agus slándála ina measc, is ea is fearrde dúinn aghaidh a thabhairt orthu le chéile. Tá teist fhada bhródúil ag Éirinn agus an Indinéis araon i mbun oibre trí na Náisiúin Aontaithe chun teacht ar réitigh shíochánta agus chothroma.

Is ann don Ambasáid anseo chun cuidiú le muintir na hIndinéise atá ag tabhairt cuairte ar Éirinn, cibé acu i gcáil chuairteoirí, lucht gnó nó mhic léinn. Is ann dúinn freisin chun tacaíocht a thabhairt do shaoránaigh na hÉireann atá ar cuairt ar an Indinéis, ina gcónaí inti, nó i mbun gnó anseo. Tá sonraí faoinár seirbhísí consalachta le fáil ar an suíomh gréasáin seo.

Tá an-fhonn orainn tionchar ceart a imirt. Inis dúinn más féidir linn cabhrú leat, agus cuir in iúl dúinn conas mar atá ag éirí linn.
