How much does an Irish Passport cost?

Fees

The fee depends on the type of passport you apply for:

Standard Passports
Standard 10-year passport: €80
Large 66-page, 10 year passport: €110
Standard 5-year passport for children between 3 and 18 years: €26.50
Standard 3-year passport for children under 3 years: €16

Emergency Passports (issued in limited circumstances only)

If you need your passport urgently for travel, you will have to pay the following emergency charge in addition to the above standard fees in order to have your application fast-tracked:

  • Adult: €55
  • Under 18: €30

Emergency Travel Certificates

Only intended for people who have lost their passport, or who have had their passport stolen, and must urgently travel home. Only valid for one single trip - €15

We do not accept cards at the embassy, but you can pay in cash or by cheque.
