New to Lithuania?

If you are planning to move to Lithuania or have recently moved here, there are some things that you need to know.

Irish citizens do not require a visa to enter Lithuania, and if you plan to stay for less than three months there are no registration obligations.

However, Irish citizens who plan to spend an extended period in Lithuania – more than 90 days – must register with the migration authorities and have a residence card issued.

Irish citizens who intend to work in Lithuania must also contact the tax authorities to have a taxpayer number issued.
