World class uilleann piper Paddy Keenan was in Moscow last week and performed to a packed house at the Irish Embassy. He was joined by Russian musicians Sergey Kuvin (guitar), Alexander Karavaev (whistle), Anton Zille (fiddle) and Evgeny Pichugin (concertina).

Irish artist Aaron Smyth took part in the "Signs of Memory" exhibition at the Russian State Art Library, Moscow, from 6th to 25th July 2016.

On the 14th June Embassy Moscow marked the occasion of W.B. Yeats' birthday with a lecture on Yeats and Easter 1916 delivered by Professor Margaret Mills Harper, University of Limerick and President of the International Yeats Society.
