It is a great honour and privilege to serve as Ambassador of Ireland to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as on a non-resident basis to the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Yemen.
Together with my colleagues in the Embassy, we are committed to further expansion of the already broad and deep relations between our countries, building on the strong political; economic; and cultural connections that we already enjoy.
People are at the centre of any bilateral relationship. The well-established Irish community in this region, and the community from the region living in Ireland, have established a strong legacy, making vital contributions across key sectors at a time when our wellbeing; prosperity; and security are connected to the wider world as never before.
We are proud to work closely with “Team Ireland” including our colleagues from Enterprise Ireland here in the Embassy, and from Dubai with Bord Bia (Irish Food Board); IDA Ireland (Inward Investment); and Tourism Ireland.
We are equally fortunate to benefit from the extensive networks and promotion activities across the region of the various Irish Business Networks; GAA Clubs; and Irish Societies all of whom undertake tremendous work on an entirely voluntary basis. Wherever you are in the region, I encourage you to make contact with them.
For those resident in, or travelling in our countries of accreditation we strongly recommend that you also register with the Department of Foreign Affairs so that the Embassy can better serve you in case of need.
