Can I get my passport today?

No. Passports are manufactured in Dublin by the Passport Office, not by the Embassy of Ireland in Singapore.

If an applicant needs to travel in an emergency situation, the Embassy can produce Temporary Passports. Temporary Passports are non-biometric travel documents with a limited validity of seven months. However, these can only be provided in an emergency to people who have a good passport history and who can provide documentary evidence of international travel.

Some countries require holders of Emergency Passports to apply for a visa before travel. Emergency Passport holders cannot avail of the visa waiver scheme (USA) or visa on arrival facilities (Indonesia, Vietnam) and must apply in advance to the relevant Embassies to have a visa put in their passport.
