Passport Express in Slovenia/Bosnia Herzegovina

If you need your passport urgently for travel.

Standard biometric passports are manufactured by the Passport Office in Dublin.

Should you need your passport urgently for travel you can apply for a standard passport and pay the emergency charge in addition to the standard fee. Depending on how quickly you need your passport we will submit your standard passport application for processing to the Passport Office Dublin and:

• If you need your passport for travel in the next week or two, request your application be fast-tracked. Your standard passport will be delivered to the Embassy in the first diplomatic pouch (leaving Dublin each Friday, received in Ljubljana on the following Monday).
• If you need your passport for travel in the next day or two, we will issue you an Emergency Travel Document (ETD) which you will be using up until your standard passport is delivered. An ETD is not a biometric travel document. 
• If you are applying from Bosnia and Herzegovina further time must be allowed for delivery to your address in BiH. Please contact the Embassy to coordinate delivery.

Valid proof of confirmed travel (e.g. airline ticket/email) must be presented in order for any application to be processed sooner than the standard turnaround.
