How can I apply for a second passport for Business purposes?

Here you will find information on how to establish if you are eligible to apply for a second passport for business purposes. Please note that all applications for business passports are reviewed by the Passport Office in Dublin and you should therefore leave extra time when making such an application.

The letter should detail your position and length of service with the company and certify your travel commitments i.e. include a detailed list of projected business travel for the coming months. This letter should be supported by company registration and tax compliance certificates. Please note that this letter must be in English.

If you require a second, business passport to facilitate visa applications you should provide evidence that demonstrates that your passport was held for regular periods of time at Embassies while waiting to obtain a visa. You must demonstrate that you are applying for visas frequently.

Any other circumstances which may justify the approval of a second passport for business purposes should be outlined in the letter.

When sending your application, you must also submit your current/expired personal and your current business passport (if applicable), which can be returned to you, if you provide a stamped self-addressed envelope (CHF 6.00 stamp).
