Do I need a passport to travel between Tanzania and Ireland?

A passport is required for travel to Tanzania from Ireland and vice versa.

Passports should be valid for at least six months beyond the date of the end of your visit to Tanzania. It is advisable to take a number of photocopies of your passport with you.

Irish citizens require a visa to enter Tanzania. The current visa charge for Irish citizens entering Tanzania on an ordinary visa is USD 50. Visas can be obtained at any point of entry or by applying at the nearest Tanzanian Embassy or High Commission in advance of travel.
