Marriage & Civil Partnership Abroad

If you are getting married in Thailand, you should contact the Embassy of Ireland in Bangkok directly.

Under Thai law, the Embassy of Ireland in Bangkok is not authorised to perform marriages. Your marriage must be registered with the Registrar at local registration offices (e.g. District Office). Please also note that it is mandatory for the applicants to present an "Affidavit Letter" to the Registrar in order to get married. This letter can be obtained at the Irish Embassy in Bangkok on production of necessary documents.

Payments can be made in cash at the Public Counter or via Bank Transfer to the Embassy account.
