Doing Business with Ireland

Samuel Beckett Bridge, Dublin, Ireland

The Embassy works closely with Enterprise Ireland to promote trade and inward investment.

Ireland and Turkey enjoy a strong economic and trade partnership.

Annual trade is worth approximately €1.4 billion (including services), roughly 55% in Ireland's favour. Total merchandise trade in 2013 was valued at €741M. Irish exports made up of €454m of that total. Our chief merchandise exports to Turkey include medical and pharmaceutical products; essential oils; chemical materials; office & data processing machines.

Turkey is the fifth most popular summer holiday destination for Irish tourists (around 120,000 annually).

With Enterprise Ireland we work to:

  • Support Irish companies who want to access the Turkish market
  • Provide general advice on doing business locally and, through our networks of contacts, pursue opportunities that will benefit Ireland
  • Work to secure market access for Irish products in key sectors
  • Promote Ireland as a location for tourism and for investment.
