Consular Fees

An outline of the Embassy’s consular fees and charges.

Please note that these fees are updated from time to time to bring them into line with Euro fees charged by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Ireland. Please note we have now moved to online payments for applications for Foreign Birth Registration and for Certificate of Freedom to Marry.

CONSULAR  FEES

Foreign Birth Registration:

Over 18 years of age

• Registration plus Certificate: €250

• Total: €250

Under 18 years of age

• Registration plus Certificate: €125

• Total: €125

Payment methods

Payment is made by debit/credit card as part of the online application process

Certificate of Freedom to Marry (Certificate de Coutume/Nulla Osta)

Per Irish applicant: €60
Total per Irish applicant: €60

Late fee

If you submit your application 28 days or less before the date of your intended marriage you’ll have to pay an additional fee of €60 per Irish applicant.

Payment methods

Payment is made online as part of the application process.

You will be charged the standard consular fee (currently AED200) for each document that needs to be Apostilled (including the Certificate de Coutume, birth certificate, etc).
