Ambassador Dermot Nolan took up his duties as Permanent Representative of Ireland to the OECD and UNESCO in September 2016. A graduate of Trinity College Dublin, Ambassador Nolan is a native of County Kildare.
From 1984 to 2016 he has worked in the Department of the Public Service, the Department of Finance and the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform on issues such as superannuation, public expenditure policy, capital investment policy, EU financial negotiations, ECOFIN coordination and North-South Co-operation.
