Minister RuairĂ­ Quinn attends the 2014 ministerial

Minister of Education and Skills Mr. Ruairí Quinn T.D. represented Ireland at the OECD's annual Ministerial Council meeting held in Paris on 6th-7th May. The Minister was a lead speaker in the central discussion resilient economics. 'Exploring Policy Mixes to Promote Economic Growth and Wellbeing' which was held in the afternoon of 6 May. His contribution focused on support for the OECD's 'New Approaches to Economic Challenges' work and the value of the OECD. The Minister met with Andreas Schleicher, Acting Director, Education and Skills and Mr. Stefano Scarpetta, Director, Employment, Labour and Social Affairs for an exchange on recent developments between Ireland and the OECD.
