How should I send my application and how will it be returned?

Please note the Consulate General of Ireland in Edinburgh does not process passports.

Completed applications must be sent to the Irish Passport Office in London preferably by recorded/traceable delivery.

Irish Passport Office

London, SW7 4ES
Phone: +44 207 3734339

The Passport Office will return all passports by post. Please ensure that you include a stamped, self-addressed envelope with your application (minimum first class large letter stamp). It is recommended that you submit a registered envelope and note the tracking number, which can be tracked on the Royal Mail website. If a registered envelope is not provided, the passport will be posted by first class post. It is not possible to collect passports at the Passport Office.
