Consul General of Ireland - Miami

HOM Sarah Kavanagh

A chairde/Dear friends/Queridos amigos,

Tá céad fáilte romhat/You are most welcome/Bienvenido to the website of the Consulate General of Ireland in Miami.

I am delighted that the Government of Ireland has chosen Miami as the location for a new Consulate General of Ireland – a very tangible manifestation of Ireland’s commitment to strengthening our economic, political, cultural and community relationships in this dynamic region of the United States.

The Consulate General covers the States of Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi and, as we become established, we will take over responsibility for Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Ireland’s connections to the United States of America and the Caribbean region have been built up over centuries; these ties are deep and multi-layered.  Today we enjoy a vibrant bilateral relationship and this provides a firm foundation for the work that lies ahead for the new Consulate General.

My team and I are very much looking forward to serving our citizens, to engaging with the Irish community and those of Irish heritage and affinity, to building relationships and to promoting Irish interests and values in our region of responsibility.

We hope you find this website useful.  Please get in touch with the Consulate if you need information about Ireland, if you are an Irish citizen in need of consular assistance, or if you would like to make a proposal or suggestion.
