The Government of Ireland has approved the implementation of a series of reforms to the student immigration system for international education, in response to concerning practices within certain parts of the sector and a number of English language college closures.

The Federal University of Santa Catarina and the Embassy of Ireland in Brazil present Irish lives news story festival poster. The Festival will take place over a number of months and will feature the films of acclaimed Irish film director, Alan Gilsenan. The first part of the festival will take place on 8 April 2015.

Minister for Education and Skills, Jan O'Sullivan, TD, visited Brazil this month for a trade and education mission to the cities of Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, São Paulo and Campinas. This was the first time an Irish Minister has led a St. Patrick's Day mission to Brazil.
