In addition to the information contained in Ireland in Brief, which you will find on the right hand side of this page, teachers preparing lessons on Ireland may find the following links useful:

https://www.scoilnet.ie contains a database of over 11,000 online resources including websites, quizzes, lesson plans, notes, video/audio, games and other multimedia. Scoilnet.ie has been developed as a support for teachers at both primary and post-primary levels and is Department of Education and Skills (DES) official portal for Irish education.

http://www.askaboutireland.ie is an initiative of public libraries together with local museums and archives in the digitisation and online publication of the original, the unusual and the unique material from their local studies' collections to create a national Internet resource for Irish culture.

If you are interested in travelling to Ireland this summer to pursue your studies, you can find out more through USIT-Study in Ireland. The Ireland in Europe Summer School based at Trinity College Dublin offers a vibrant programme for those who wish to find out more about Ireland.

If you are an Irish student interested in pursuing a course of studies in a Danish institution, you may be interested in a programme recently opened up to Irish participants, where Denmark offers foreign students the opportunity to attend a two to three week Danish summer language course in Denmark. You can find more information on this initiative at the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science.
