Do I need a visa to travel to Ireland?

Whether you need a visa to enter Ireland depends on what country you’re from.

The Immigration Act 2004‌ groups countries into three different categories (schedules) according to their visa requirements.

If your county is not listed in one of these schedules, you must apply for a visa before you travel to Ireland.

Note: A Schengen visa is not valid for travel to Ireland.

The full list of schedules can be found here
