What is the role of the Embassy of Ireland in Budapest?

The Embassy represents the interests of Ireland and her citizens in Hungary, and also in Kosovo and Montenegro to which the Embassy is also accredited on a non-resident basis. 

The Embassy works with Enterprise Ireland and Bord Bia, and also with the Irish Hungarian Business Circle, to provide support to Irish companies operating in or exporting to Hungary.

The Embassy provides consular and passport services and consular assistance to Irish citizens in these countries, both residents and visitors. The Embassy also processes visa applications for visa required nationals who wish to travel to Ireland and who are resident in Hungary, Kosovo and Montenegro. The Embassy also organises and supports a range of cultural activities throughout the year.
