How much does an Irish Passport cost?

Details of passport fees if applying in Norway and how to pay (effective 30 March 2017)

The Fee depends on the type of passport you are looking for:

Standard Passports

  • Standard 10-year passport is NOK 850
  • Large 66-page, 10-year passport is NOK 1120
  • Minor (age 0-17, 5 year passport) NOK 400

Express standard (Min. 2 weeks) See fees above plus extra express fee of NOK 700

Emergency Travel Documents

  • Emergency Travel Document (single journey only) NOK   300
  • Emergency passport (7 months validity only) NOK   850 + 30

NOTE: This document is for medical or bereavement purposes only. Booked flights for holiday or leisure does not constitute an "emergency". Verification documents are required.

Emergency Travel Documents are NOT valid for US ESTA Visa Waiver travel

Please note:

Additional fee for outside of office hours issuance: NOK 720

How do I pay?

Payment is by bank transfer only. Cheques, cash and bank drafts are not accepted. From 1 October 2014, credit card payments will no longer be accepted.

If you wish for us to return your passport via post, please indicate this and include your postal address and a communication fee of NOK 160 which can be paid at the same time as the consular fee.
