How much does an Irish Passport cost?

The fee depends on the type of passport you apply for:

Please note that passport fees have recently been updated. Effective from 30 March, 2017, the following fees will be charged:

Adult 10 year

910 SEK

Adult large 10 year

1 200 SEK

Minor, age 0 – 17 years, 5 year passport

435 SEK

Emergency Travel Document*

290 SEK

Additional Fees


Out of hours fee**

770 SEK

Passport Certification Fee***

385 SEK

*This fee applies to both Emergency Travel Certificates and emergency passports.

**The fee is additional to the fee for the passport itself.

***This a standard consular fee that is charged for the verification or certification of any document

We do not accept credit or debit cards. The Embassy accepts cash only.

Fees can also be paid by bank transfer to our bank giro account:

Cash payments are only accepted if passport applicant applies personally at the Embassy; please do not send cash in postal application.
